Why Palo Alto Homeowners Should Schedule Early
Fall brings cooler weather, and many Palo Alto households start using their fireplaces more often—but that also means chimneys work harder. **Creosote buildup, hidden cracks, or even animal nests** (common in older homes near Stanford’s wooded areas) can go unnoticed until it’s too late. By booking now, you’ll secure your preferred date and get a thorough inspection before the holiday season, when demand spikes. Our team checks for **Palo Alto-specific risks** like moisture damage from the city’s mild but damp winters and ensures your chimney meets local safety codes. Standard chimney sweep routine
Your appointment starts with a **Level 1 or 2 inspection** (depending on your setup) to spot early warning signs like soot buildup, rust, or loose bricks—all common in Palo Alto’s mix of historic and modern homes. We’ll then clean your chimney using **rotary brushes and vacuum systems** to remove debris, creosote, and any critter nests (yes, even in urban neighborhoods). Afterward, we’ll provide a detailed report on your chimney’s condition and recommend any **preventative maintenance** to avoid future issues. See our full service list or check our pricing guide to understand what’s included. Pro tip: If you’ve noticed **smoke lingering in your room or a strong odor when lighting your fireplace**, that’s a red flag—schedule now before small problems escalate.
